About us

History
The Brown Bag Sandwich Company was established in 1981 in San Juan Capistrano, California. The concept was to provide a wholesome, high quality, deli style packaged sandwich on fresh baked bread. The original route was in South Orange County along the coast. The product was delivered by the owner, in a 1972 Chevrolet Impala with the air conditioner on full blast.

The sandwiches were an immediate hit with surfers and the beach going crowd. As routes were built inland, our product became a staple for the people looking for a consistently good sandwich on the run.

Today
Brown Bag produces approximately 40,000 sandwiches per day for convenience stores, vending machines, military bases and emergency agencies. We no longer use Chevrolet Impalas for our deliveries, but the concept remains the same: Quality, Convenience and Freshness. We continue to bake much of our own bread daily and use high quality meats (Jennie-O, Sugardale Ham and Russak's Roast Beef). We pride ourselves in consistency of product and service.

When you are thinking of a quality food program for your location or venue, think Brown Bag Sandwich Company.
You'll be glad you did, and so will we!
